For over 30 years, Denis Mehigan has worked in the corporate real estate industry. He has had the opportunity to work as an employee, contract employee or vendor for such great companies as Cisco Systems, Apple, Pacific Telesis, AT&T, JP Morgan Chase, The Clorox Company and McDonald’s. He has also owned and developed his own corporate real estate advisory firm, serving large international companies and local firms throughout the West Coast.
Born in San Francisco, Denis was raised and attended schools in San Francisco, graduating from the University of San Francisco in 1977. He was recruited into marketing with IBM. After his successful sales career at IBM, Denis crossed over to the commercial real estate field in 1981. He has focused his entire real estate career in the corporate and investment area.
Denis’ corporate real estate background has been both a generalist and a specialist. He has managed transactions and completed tenant representation assignments around the world. A core principal accomplishment of his transaction management has been in the area of cost reduction. His development of database systems, lease administration processes, benchmark toolkits, and comprehensive strategic real estate plans is renowned in the industry. He has completed project management and other facilities jobs for many leading edge firms in the Silicon Valley. Combined with his transaction management experience, Denis has served employers and clients on many fronts. Additionally, he has developed strategies for successful acquisitions and dispositions of investment properties.
Kevin is The Mehigan Company’s Managing Director in San Francisco, working exclusively as a tenant advisory, focused on maximizing leverage for office tenants. Prior to The Mehigan Company, he was an investor, advisor and executive working with many early stage companies where he experienced first hand the importance of efficient cash management and cost containment. He brings this unique perspective and appreciation for the need to balance flexibility for growth and value in office transactions to all his assignments and clients.
As Vice President of Sales and Business Development in early stage companies Kevin has disrupted established markets and competed successfully against larger, more mature companies. He was attracted to TMC by the opportunity to “change the rules” and compete with establish commercial real estate competitors. As an exclusive tenant advocate with a flexible TMC business model, Kevin has worked with clients on mutually beneficial assignments that many competitors are unwilling to even consider.
He has completed tenant representation assignments ranging from first offices for technology startups, to relocating mature businesses, to complex rightsizing, to multiple headquarter lease transactions for a rapidly growing international enterprise.
Kevin is a co-founder and current board member of The Dante’s Boys Foundation, providing meaningful financial support to organizations that facilitate active participation in sports for under served youth. Born in San Francisco, Kevin graduated from the University of San Francisco and was a captain of the baseball team before he began his professional career with IBM in 1980.
